These are all the services we provide to our customers which fall outside of general system design and development.

Who are Unicorn's Consultants?

These are experienced individuals, or might on occasions be a team in the case of a complex requirement, who would attend your client site. Depending on the nature of the requirement your consultant would be a team member who is an expert in his or her field, or who just happens to have more experience than anyone else in the country or world. Several of our consultants have become better known than others in their particular field and often they are asked to speak at national and international conferences and seminars on current topics. For this reason their time is precious and booking them in for an appointment can sometimes take a while. However, we are told it is well worth the wait!

What do Professional Services include?

In the past, services we have offered have included Business Analysis, Business Strategy, Planning, Auditing and Troubleshooting. What we find ourselves doing is giving advice, providing expertise in a specialist field of knowledge, combining certain unique skills unlikely to be found elsewhere, auditing our competitors' or other software house's work and generally troubleshooting or just plain and simply "helping out"!

Quite often what appears at first glance to be a simple piece of application development work actually has many more fundamental issues that have to be resolved before even that small application can be written. Then there are internal politics to be dealt with and before you know it you are in the midst of a Board Meeting explaining the findings outlined in your report. Our Consultants are fully qualified to deal with any of these situations should they arise and, as you may already be aware if you know our team, they are always helpful, friendly and courteous.

What happens if Unicorn doesn't know the answer?

The partnerships we have established give us access to a whole host of other skilled consultants. If we don't know the answer, and in these times it is becoming increasingly difficult to be an expert in all technologies, then we will find you someone who does and work with them to provide you with a solution.
