Unicorn has been providing training courses for many
years in a wide variety of topics. We train programmers
and business users alike.
For programmers, there is the range of technical courses
in DataFlex and associated
products, Delphi, Oracle,
Web technology, and Staffware
workflow. We run standard scheduled training courses
and on-site courses for clients of all capabilities
from basic to advanced.
For business users at all levels there are courses
in all Microsoft products and report writers such as
Crystal and other tools
to help you access your data. Our experience has taught
us that by working from client sites we can most easily
mirror a real life environment and so train the user
more effectively.
There is always a large demand for our existing scheduled
courses. However, there are often occasions when something
more specialised is required and to accommodate this,
we offer a range of non-scheduled courses tailored to
your needs and held at times and a location convenient
to you.

We provide one tutor for up to a maximum of six participants.
Preferably classes will consist of four participants,
which allows the tutor plenty of time for individual
questions relating to the exercises carried out during
the courses. If larger classes are requested, this can
be arranged and we would provide the appropriate number
of tutors for the size of class.
Our equipment is up-to-date and is of a high quality.
We provide one machine per course candidate as our courses
teach a combination of theory and hands on techniques.
Our tutors are all experienced presenters and use these
products on a day-to-day basis. This is a particularly
important qualification when teaching such technical
material. The experience of our tutors ranges from senior
lecturer with 20 years experience in the computer industry,
to lecturers who have been using the products for between
3 and 5 years and have an in-depth knowledge. We regularly
monitor courses to ensure that standards are maintained.
All course participants are provided with a full set
of training manuals, which are written either by Unicorn
InterGlobal or by the manufacturer of the product range
on which the training courses are being taught.
At the end of each course an Appraisal Form is handed
to each candidate and they are invited to make comments
on the course length, content and presentation, together
with suggestions for ways to improve the course. These
comments are fed back to the training administrator
who will then ensure that suggestions are discussed
at the regular training meetings.
