The Scandinavian User Conference 2005 will be held in Sweden on 3rd and 4th November at the Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel, Gothenburg. This event is hosted by Data Access.

This event, held in the English language, will attract developers from around the world and it is an excellent opportunity to meet with some of the most experienced in the business. A great opportunity to meet up with other Visual DataFlex developers, find out the latest news and see up to the minute presentations and demonstrations.

Mike Peat will be presenting Databases and Web Services in Practice, an up to the minute Web Services presentation that sets the theme for this year’s conference.

We shall bring you more information as soon as the full schedule is announced.


Visual DataFlex SIG Meeting

The next SIG meeting will be held on 15th October, 2005. This will be an opportunity to meet with programmers and share expertise and experiences in Visual DataFlex, Character mode, Web Development and related topics.

In addition to a session on what’s new in Visual DataFlex 11.1, Michael Vermeersch from Microsoft will be introducing MS SQL Server 2005 (Yukon). Staying with the Microsoft theme, there will be a presentation on Getting Started with MS SQL and Vista, the next Windows version scheduled to be released in 2006. For those of you who are working with MS SQL Server, are you aware that the Resource Kit is now available online? It is full of helpful tips, advanced techniques and useful tools and samples to help you.
