Visual DataFlex Product Release Schedule 2004/2005

Visual DataFlex 10.1 is scheduled to be released at the end of October 2004 and we shall keep you updated as soon as details are released.

Since the launch of Visual DataFlex V8, Data Access has implemented a “short release cycle” strategy. It has adopted the practice of two VDF releases per year, at the end of the first and third quarters of the year. Following this principle, Visual DataFlex 11.0 is now targeted for a release date of 31st March 2005.

Data Access have organised Revision 10.1 to make it a very easy for developers to install and to migrate applications-in-progress in order to minimise the impact of a ‘point’ release only four months after the release of Revision 10.

Developers and clients who hold Visual DataFlex licences with a current annual subscription will continue to receive each release automatically for the lifetime of their subscription, making this both cost-effective and future proof. If you would like more information about Visual DataFlex subscriptions please call us on +44 (0)118 988 8709.

Dynamic AI

We were delighted earlier this month to host a Business Intelligence Seminar at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel at Heathrow where Dynamic AI, a browser-based reporting tool, was demonstrated to clients, consultants and developers.

This product definitely has the “WOW” factor and can provide sophisticated reports and graphs in real-time very easily. Not only does it have wide ranging capabilities, but it has been competitively priced and, in most cases, is a fraction of the cost of its nearest rivals. If you would like to know more about this product or would like to arrange for a demonstration please call us on +44 (0)118 988 8709.

EDUC 2004 – 6th – 8th October

If you haven’t already done so, we encourage you to reserve your place at the European DataFlex User Conference without delay. This is an event no DataFlex professional can afford to miss, particularly as the UK has been chosen for this year’s venue and we shall be welcoming many colleagues from the European DataFlex community.

A realistic and affordable full-board rate of £475 plus VAT has been negotiated at the Robinson Conference Centre at St. Neots, in the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside. The very full agenda covers diverse topics ranging from the cutting edge of Web Serves to updating Legacy Systems, and there is much in between to keep you interested.

This will be an ideal opportunity to meet with your fellow professionals in an environment that is conducive to furthering your knowledge and updating your skills away from your daily pressures, and there are impressive leisure facilities available there to help you relax and unwind.
