Unicorn InterGlobal has moved!

June heralded many changes for us and a new era at Unicorn InterGlobal has begun. As we had to give up the lease on our old offices at Stubbings House in Maidenhead, we moved to new premises in the beautiful rural location of Beech Hill, near Reading. Sadly we said farewell to Carol Laskin who is beginning a new life with her family overseas, but this decision opened the way for Mike Peat to become our new Managing Director, returning full time to the company after several years.

Our new address and contact details are: Priory Court, Wood Lane, Beech Hill, Reading, RG7 2BJ Tel: +44 (0)118 988 8709 and Fax: +44 (0)118 988 9074 or visit our new website on www.unicorninterglobal.com for more information.

Free Software Licences

An important announcement was made recently at EDUC 2006. With the release of Visual DataFlex 12 (that’s what Project Horizon will first be released as), Data Access will be introducing a free Studio version for non-commercial, private use. A similar licence will be available for Dynamic AI, a low-cost Business Intelligence tool, and we’ll let you know more when we have full details.

FlexODBC 4.0.24

Flexquarters have announced FlexODBC 4.0.24 is now available. This latest build can be downloaded from www.flexquarters.com and has many updated features and fixes.

Diary Dates

With the resounding success of EDUC 2006 still ringing in our ears it was announced that Moscow has been chosen as the venue for EDUC 2008. For those of you not of a nervous disposition, an incriminating video of the last night of last month’s conference, when a re-enactment of the Siege of Malta took place in the walled city of Mdena. Mike Peat took a leading role, but see how many other DataFlex developers you can recognise.
