New Look for Unicorn’s Website

We have made a number of changes to our website, both to reflect current trends and more importantly to make it easier for us to create and maintain content.

If you haven’t visited us recently, please do take a look at www.unicorninterglobal.com.

While our old website suited our needs when it was initially created, various aspects of the design meant it was difficult for nontechnical staff to update and maintain pages, particularly those for news and price lists. We decided that the best thing would be for us to move to a content management system, that would simplify the whole process of creating and managing web pages.

From the content management systems that we assessed, it was clear that Electos was the most suitable system for our needs. With its easy to use interface and simple data entry mechanism, content can be quickly and easily created in the desired menu structure by even the most novice users.

The Benefits of Using Electos Content Management System

We are delighted with Electos and the way in which our website has developed. In particular, it has provided us with:

  • greater control over the appearance of our website, simply changing styles in the websitestyles.css file when required
  • an easy and intuitive interface for creating and maintaining web pages
  • menus that automatically reflect the addition and deletion of web pages
  • the ability to keep pages unpublished until they are completely correct
  • a built in Search engine

Transform Your Business in 2011

Most of us start the New Year with a list of things we want to sort out and improve, both in our business and home lives. Although we won’t be sending Mike Peat round to help with any home decluttering or bathroom retiling just yet, we are offering our services to help you transform your business operations and processes, making them as competitive and profitable as possible.

With cloud computing now a well established technology, more and more organisations are taking advantage of the business benefits it can deliver in the way of lowering costs and improving flexibilty and return on investment.

Here at Unicorn we have a strong history in internet technologies and a clear understanding of where we can use cloud technology to address issues faced by businesses. Whether you want to increase the speed of your systems, provide web access to systems or reduce the number of support calls to your support staff, we have the expertise to assess what you have in place and deliver the solutions that will transform your business.

You may have decided that this year you would like to allow your employees more opportunity to work from home. However, often when employees work from home, they can only carry out a subset of the tasks that they can do when in the office. We can help you to develop and improve your systems, introducing the required web interfaces and data integration software, so that your employees can use all the applications and systems they need from home, and from different locations and mobile devices.

If you think your organisation could benefit from improved business systems, we can provide you with a no obligation review of how your systems can be combined and integrated with new technology to achieve better results.
